one day my colleague Mr. K and I were walking in Taipei

one restaurant by road has fish, crabs in tanks, with conspicuous signboard "活鱉三吃"

K: what's that

I said: soft shelled turtle

K: you eat turtle? (you = 你們台灣人)

me: no... it's not turtle

K: you said soft shelled turtle

me: ...yes

K: is it turtle?

me: no... it's soft shelled turtle.. um...yes, it's turtle
(到此我瞭解是認知差異了，我認為龜是龜，鱉是鱉，但老外理所當然認為都是龜)

K: why you eat turtle?

me: um...... good for man......
(配上尷尬的笑容，我只能這樣解釋了XD)
